Local Organizations/ Clubs

Overview

We have several local organizations formed to serve, helping others in need around our community.

"The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, honorable, compassionate, and have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well." "No one has ever become poor by giving."

Quilters and Crafters:

About Us:

Quilters and Crafters enjoy sewing and quilting. We hope to inspire, and encouragement, and show helpful tips we have learned along the way. In addition, our group shares quilting ideas, patterns, and pictures of how to decorate them with quilts. This group is a GREAT place for our fellow Quilters to come, learn and share! All Quilters and Quilters-to-be young and older are encouraged and welcome! We are a fantastic group of quilters!

Meeting Schedule:

We meet every Tuesday from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.

Meeting Location:

Friendsville Community Center, 105 Homecoming Circle, Friendsville, TN 37737.

Citizens of Community Improvement (CCI):

Our Mission:

When tragedy strikes, we aid needy families in our community and assist with human needs  (groceries, clothing, medical supplies, and emotional support). In addition, we organize several diverse fundraisers throughout the year to raise money for families by providing a food basket and presents for children to have under the tree on Christmas morning. Without the love and support we receive from our community, this would not be possible. CCI is a caring group of individuals. Men, women, and some young adults make up this group. As a non-profit organization, we provide a visible presence of community love for those in need.

Volunteers:

Further, we are a comprehensive caregiving organization that allows volunteers to help their community. We are always in need of volunteers to come to join us. For more information about CCI, call 865-995-2831.

Meeting Location:

204 East College Ave, Friendsville.

When:

First (1st) Tuesday of the month.
