Do we have a leak?

Check for Water Leaks at Your Home

After our monthly meter readings are processed, we upload a list of all active leaks detected to this page. To see if your address is on the list, you will need your account number. For privacy reasons, no names or addresses are posted, only account numbers.

If you find that your account shows a possible leak, we recommend the following steps:

  1. Inspect Inside and Outside Your Home:
    • Check under all sinks, faucets, and outside spigots for drips.
    • Check your toilets by adding a few drops of food coloring to the tank. Let it sit for 45 minutes to an hour. If the color appears in the bowl, that toilet is leaking.
  2. Check Between Your Home and Meter:
    • If your home has a shut-off valve, turn it off.
    • Go to your meter. If the meter is still spinning, the leak is located between your house and the meter.
  3. Request a Detailed Usage Profile:
    • After completing the above steps, you can request a detailed usage profile.
    • A technician must be present at the meter to gather the data. This report can provide up to two months of hourly usage and is available for a cost of $40.00.

Taking these steps promptly can help you catch leaks early, reduce water waste, and prevent higher water bills.
