💧 HomeServe Leak Protection Program
The City of Friendsville Utility Department has proudly partnered with HomeServe since 2018 to offer added peace of mind to our customers when unexpected water leaks occur.
What Is HomeServe Leak Protection?
HomeServe Leak Protection is an insurance program that helps cover high water bill costs due to qualifying leaks. If you experience a significant increase in your water bill due to an underground or concealed leak, HomeServe may reimburse up to $1,000.00 of the excess charges on your utility bill.
How It Works:
You must be enrolled in the HomeServe Leak Protection program.
If a leak occurs, the customer must file a claim directly with HomeServe.
The claim process may require:
Receipts for plumbing repairs
Photos of the leak area (helpful but not required)
Coverage is limited to two billing cycles (two months) of high water usage and only after the leak has been repaired.
Once reviewed and approved, HomeServe will pay the City of Friendsville Utility directly for the covered amount.
Important Notes:
Toilet leaks are not covered under this program.
Coverage applies only to qualifying leaks that result in high water usage.
