Welcome to our Monthly Water Leak Reporting page, lovingly known as the “Why Is My Water Bill So High This Month?” list.
After each month's meter readings are processed, we upload a list of all active leak alerts to this page.
To see if you're on the list, you’ll need your account number.
🔒 Privacy First
We never post names or addresses, account numbers.
Your meter may spill the tea on a leak, but we won’t.
Thanks to our upgraded smart meters, we can detect unusually high water usage over a 12-hour period. During our monthly readings, the system alerts us if something looks suspicious and labels the severity as:

1. Inspect Inside & Outside Your Home
- Check under sinks, around faucets, and outside spigots for drips.
- Test your toilets:
Add a few drops of food coloring to the tank → wait 45–60 minutes.
If the color appears in the bowl, your toilet is quietly wasting water like it’s training for a marathon.2. Check Between Your Home and the Meter
- If your home has a shut-off valve, turn it off.
- Go to your water meter.
- If it’s still spinning, the leak is somewhere between your house and the meter.
(A mystery… but one you can solve without a trench coat.)3. Request a Detailed Usage Profile
- Want the full story of your water usage?
You can request a detailed hourly usage report.- A technician will meet you at the meter to gather the data.
- Cost: $40.00
(Much cheaper than ignoring a leak until it becomes a backyard swimming pool.)Why It Matters
Catching leaks early can:
- Prevent unexpectedly high bills
- Reduce water waste
- Save you from asking your meter, “Why are you working overtime?”
